"Gauge Freedom and Tensor Tomography with Partial Data"
In standard X-ray tomography one tries to reconstruct a function from its integrals over all lines. If the scalar function is replaced with a tensor field, this is not possible uniquely due to a gauge freedom. If one only has partial data, the gauge freedom is increased and may appear even for scalar fields. Time permitting, we will discuss basics of gauge freedom, the effect of linearization on gauge, and gauge freedom in slab geometries and Lorentzian manifolds.
