Recipients of the Alan Weiser Memorial Travel Awards

Since Fall 2007, several graduate students in Computational & Applied Mathematics have received the Alan Weiser Memorial Travel Awards which have helped finance their travel to national and international conferences.

Boris Brimkov will give a talk at the 2017 Meeting of the International Linear Algebra Society in Iowa on July 24-28 2017, and present a talk entitled:

Arturo Vargas participated in the 2016 Conference on Spectral and High Order Methods, Rio de Janeiro, June 27-July 1, 2016, and present a talk entitled:

Caleb Magruder participated in the 2016 SIAM Annual Meeting, Boston, July 11-15, 2016, and present a talk entitled:

Charles Puelz will participate in the the 2016 SIAM Life Sciences Meeting, Boston, July 11-14, 2016., and present a poster entitled:

  • One-Dimensional Model of Blood Flow Discretized with RKDG Methods

David Medina participated in the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering, March 13-18, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and presented a talk entitled:
