Grading Policy


Each problem is worth 10 points. Pledged homeworks ( = midterms) will be worth double, i.e. each problem will count for 20 points.

For CAAM graduate students, pledged homeworks are also timed, and must be completed, in one sitting, in two hours. Start and end times must be noted on paper.

Late policy: homeworks are due on the due date. Late papers will not be accepted, unless by prior arrangement or in case of genuine emergency.

Final grade will be based on total of all assignment grades, with the lowest two (percent) grades dropped. Pledged homeworks count double, so only one pledged homework can be dropped from total.

Final grade will correspond to percent of points earned: 90-100=A, 80-90=B, etc.
