Eddie is originally from San Antonio, TX where he received a B.S. degree in mathematics from St. Mary's University in 2001. After earning his M.A. from Rice University in 2005, he is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics.

Research

Image registration methods for high resolution images. Recent work includes incorporating compressible flow into traditional image registration methods, development of an efficient, parallelizable image registration algorithm suitable for 4D computed tomography images of human lungs, extension of differential equation (i.e. optical flow) based image registration methods to the case of large pixel displacements, and dynamic ventilation imaging from 4D computed tomography via image registration.   More ...
