Hello! My name is Marco Enriquez and I am a third year graduate student in the Computational and Applied Mathematics Department (CAAM) at Rice University. I work under the guidance of Dr. William Symes, founder of The Rice Inversion Project (TRIP).

My research focus lies in software engineering and optimization. Some of my current research interests include simulation driven optimization problems, minimization in the l1 norm and framework development via C++ templates and design patterns. For more specific details, please visit the Research section.

Extracurricularly, I mentor high school students through the Worthing-Rice Apprenticeship Program (WRAP). Also, I am the president and founder of the Graduate Mathematicians, Applied and Computational Mathematicians and Statisticians (GMACS) Student group at Rice University. GMACS exists to unite Rice University's graduate mathematicians via intellectual and social events.
