Jean and I are excited that so many of you are coming to our celebration activities.  For those of you who are coming from out of town, my staff has worked very hard to obtain a great price at a very nice hotel in the Galleria area, close to shopping and to the activities we have planned.  In order to arrange these prices we had to guarantee a certain minimum number of rooms, but we haven’t made this minimum yet; so the purpose of this e-mail is to encourage you to make reservations there.

We’ve arranged for shuttles to take you from that hotel to the various celebration activities (at Rice and elsewhere in the city).  If you haven’t made reservations yet, please do so right away.  If you have reservations elsewhere in the city and are planning to rent a car, please consider switching to this hotel and leave the driving to us. If you use the group code, RTC, the discounted room rate will be $99 for standard rooms and $109 for a suite. The cut-off date for room reservations is May 4, 2009, so hurry if you haven't already made a reservation.
