Each of the questions has an answer that is a single real number. The challenge is to compute each answer to as many digits of precision as possible.
Teams will receive one point for each correct digit, up to ten for each problem.
Open only to Rice students, teams may have up to three members and can draw upon any resource except someone who has already seen these problems.
Teams should submit a short
description of their methods of solution along with their answers to siam
rice.edu by April 18, 2005.
The team with the most points will receive an award of $100.
