Results: The Infinite Dimensional Context
In the formulation of the
optimality conditions
for the discrete problem
we have seen the proper choice of scalar
products plays an important role.
In the computations we use the weighted scalar
product and, consequently
the
The weighted scalar product not only influences
the gradient computation, but is also used in
conjugate gradient methods and for BFGS update
used by TRICE_U.
TRICE_U required 7 iterations
to reach the desired convergence criteria.
First we show the computed control.
The next graph shows the
contours of the stream function representing the
corresponding state. The stream function reveals
the flow separation at y = 0.4 .
