Final Project: Due on 12/05 online and 12/06 on paper
This is a pledged assignment that must be completed by individual efforts.
Copying/sharing anything from each other is strictly prohibited.
Discussions with others are not allowed except with the instructor.

- Restricted by the University, online submissions cannot be later than 11:59pm on Thursday night, December 5th, 2019.
- Paper submissions are due on Friday 5pm at the instructor's mailbox on the 1st floor of Duncan Hall.
- An extension to the paper submission may be requested that extends to Monday, 12/09/2019, at 5pm.
Assignment 10: Due on 11/26, in class.

You can run the test script test_L1.m with or without your codes.
For your final submission, run the test script for sw equal to 0 and 1.

Submit copies of your own 2 codes, the screen outputs and
the plots generated by the test runs.
Please also include a one-paragraph, typed summary.

Assignment 4: Due on 9/26, Thursday, in class.
- (90 pts)
3.13, 3.14, 3.16, 3.23, 3.28(a), 3.29, 3.36(a), 3.37, 3.58.
(Although proofs are not required for submission, you should try them for your own benefit.)
- (10 pts)
First install the cvx package.
Then write cvx code into the scritp
mytest_cvx_L1.m
to solve the given model.
Run the code and submit all the output.
Also submit your finished code mytest_cvx_L1.m to Canvas.
Assignment 3: Due on 9/19, Thursday, in class.
- (80 pts) Give clear answers to Excercises:
2.17(b), 2.19(c), 2.23, 2.24(a), 228(n=1,2), 2.32, 2.35, 2.38(c) without proofs.
(Although proofs are not required for submission, you should try them for your own benefit.)
- (20 pts) Download the file and do the problem:
hw3p2.pdf
Typeset (preferably in LaTeX) your proof and sumbit a copy in class.
Also submit your PDF file (say, myhw3p2.pdf) to Canvas.
Assignment 2: Due on 9/12, Thursday, in class.
- (70 pts) Give clear answers to Excercises: 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 2.12, 2.13, 2.15 without proofs.
(Although proofs are not required for submission, you should try
them for your own benefit.)
- (30 pts) Select one excercise among 2.1, 2.3, 2,4, 2.10, 2.11,
and provide a rigorous proof.
Typeset (preferably in LaTeX) your solution and sumbit a copy.
Also submit your PDF file (say, myproof.pdf) to Canvas.
Assignment 1: Due on 9/5, 10:50am, in class.
After downloading the data files and p-files, you can run the test script test_inpaint which will run the instructor's code yzInpaint.p.
After you have written your own code, the script will run both codes. For submission, run the test for both codes on both images. A score will be assigned automatically. Make sure to always use the latest test script (in case the script has been slightly modified from an earlier version, due to bug-fixing for example).
Submitted report includes:
(1) a short (no more than half a page) and type-set summary,
(2) screen printout from your Matlab run and Figs. 1 and 3,
(3) a copy of your code myInpaint.m.
Also submit your code to Canvas so that it can potentially be run and checked by the instructor.
