CAAM 499/699 (004): Fall 2006
Computational Medical Image Processing
In this VIGRE research seminar we study mathematical and
computational problems arising from image processing in medical and other
applications. The activities will be in collaboration with researchers
from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC).
Participating Faculty
- Rice, CAAM: Profs.
Wotao Yin
and
Yin Zhang
- MDACC, Radiation Oncology: Prof. Thomas Guerrero
Meeting Information: Thur. 4:00--5:15pm, Room: DH 2014.
--- Exception on Sept. 7th only: Room DH 3110.
Class Information and Activities:
- Dr. Wotao Yin has joined this activity and
will give a series lectures, including
--- basics of image modeling,
--- image processing in Matlab,
--- some variational image processing models,
--- related numerical methods.
See his new
CAAM 499/699 Webpage for more details.
- Matlab projects will be formally assigned to students.
- A student can take 1, 2, or 3 credits corresponding to different
requirements. CAAM graduate students must get permission from
