The department of Computational and Applied Mathematics and the department of Mathematics are pleased to host the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) Research Symposium at Rice University on April 6 and 7, 2019.
AWM’s bi-annual conference gathers over 300 female researchers in mathematics. The program includes plenary talks, more than thirty special sessions in pure and applied mathematics, a poster session, a career panel, a wikipedia edit-a-thon and networking opportunities.
Plenary speakers are:
A keynote address by Mariam Manuel, Instructional Assistant Professor at University of Houston, will take place at the Saturday evening banquet.
